The connections to engineering, technology, and applications of science on this chart are derived from the disciplinary core idea ETS2: Links Among Engineering, Technology, Science, and Society in the Framework for K-12 education. A majority of the lead state teams recommended that these ideas could best be illustrated through their connections to the natural science disciplines.
