Developed by the Institute for Science + Math Education at the University of Washington in collaboration with partners from the Research + Practice Collaboratory, and funded primarily by
the National Science Foundation, the site offers a collection of “Practice Briefs,” or “bite-size tools designed to help practitioners understand a specific problem of educational practice, reflect on it, and access resources and instructional tools that will enable them to teach more effectively.”
Held in Washington, DC, in September 2013, this two-day research meeting explored “the skills and competencies called for in the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and the measurement challenges and opportunities they pose.” All commissioned papers and videos from the two closing sessions can be accessed.
